On Sunday, August 8th from 10.00 to 17.00, the Anniversary memorial took place at the Malai Meeting Room, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University. The day involved an exciting host of events including: Opening Speech by Mr. Kraisak Choonhavan, President of the Asean Inter-Parliamentary Myanmar Caucus, Documentary on the popular uprising in Burma termed "8888" (see link below), Mon and Shan Performance, and Seminar on “What changes will the 2010 Burma election trigger?” These ranged from an exhibition on the progress in Burma as viewed by several Burma-focused organizations, cultural shows and traditional Burmese refreshments.
